Lynton's Match Report
Well the weekends don't get better. I've seen the Maggies set many records - but 7 in a row I can do without!!!! Then just to add to the wrong side of the trifecta the rotten Tingles get up. I must be due for a weekend far away from footy and any mention of it but perhaps I'll hang in until tomorrow but anyone who thinks that the Hawks game is a cert think again as Murphy is alive and well.

Enough negativity lets search for some positives as the coach has had to do for the last x weeks. Once again the Ressies deserve due recognition for their efforts - they won every quarter to run out 62 point winners. They are still confusing us poor supporters with the team as once again a couple of ringins showed up unannounced - a Davey and a Maynard.

It was great to see the enthusiasm out there today guys and yes you can do it without Leysey. Of special interest to me was the form of Simon Peucker, Buzza, Holmsey and Greeny - senior selection is not far away boys!!

Well on to the main game - I think I can cover in a couple of short comments. 1st and part of the 2nd quarters - very competetive. 3rd quarter - absolutely the pits, shocking and any other similar or stronger phrase you can think of. Then the last - as good a quarter as we have played in a long time (3.4 to 3 points says something) BUT WE LOST AGAIN!!!!

It's a pity that Lokan got decked taking a vital mark and the unfortunate miss of Carts (who took the kick) ended our chances - BUT the game was lost in the third quarter NOT with this one kick.

The club didn't give best player awards again and I'm reluctant also but it would be unfair to a few, particularly Jules, Carts, Rhino and the youngsters Brett Ebert and Jared Ilett (what is it about these Jarreds? They seem to thrive on attacking the ball).

I only hope this weekend improves and we can FINALLY win at ALBERTON next week. ALL fair dinkum Maggie supporters who can possibly get there and lift our team up will be there.

Till next week - Lynton
