Lynton's Match Report
Adelaide Oval (yet again), no rain, and no win (yet again) - is the experiment a success? 4,000 people might be but the RESULTS haven't been (you could learn to hate the place !!!!) The only consolation at this time of the year is the knowledge that the END of the season is not far a way AND opposition supporters take note - OUR slumps last for a YEAR not DECADES like some others. WE WILL BE BACK

Anyway enough of that and on to the Ressies who lost for the 2nd week in a row and seem to have lost that passion and endeavour of a few weeks back (along with a few players of course !).The game was there to be won in the last (down by 10 points) but they just couldn't find the bit extra despite kicking 4.2 (Sturt added 9.4 ) but it was entertaining football.

On to the seniors who seem to have forgotten HOW to win and with that some of the basic skills using both feet and hands to advantage. It is also great to RUN providing it is WITH the ball or results in GETTING the ball - if you think that is harsh then you weren't at the game!!

Once again the endeavour of many, particularly the younguns was good but without the support of ALL the senior players it makes it tough. In spite of all of this the game was ours to take in the last (down 9 points) after 2 good middle quarters after a shocking "here we go again" 1st quarter that saw us kick 0.3 to 5.2 and had the Blues crowd buzzing with words like "percentage" (whatever that is). In fact we outscored Sturt 9 goals to 6 after quarter time!!

The better players as I saw them (and many had "moments") were Nige, Smithy (held Steven White well ),Brades (got to get more value from possies) Jared Ilett (love this guy and his brother - got any more up north??) Ebo (ditto and hope he gets a rookie with the Power) Alfie and Meady.

A bit of "where are they now" to finish off - might not have been looking in the right places but where are Harwood and Wadey or have they joined Locky in retirement??? (you could probably add to this list)

P.S. bad luck Locky - we never did see your best only glimpses .

Until next week - Lynton
