Lynton's
Match Report |
Lets start with the only good
news - what a great win by the Ressies against the clear top
side. They are certainly playing as a team and are there for each other as the numbers at the ball
demonstrated. While I didn't see a lot of talent immediately ready to step up to the Seniors a "new" kid on the block caught my eye, no. 44 James Scrymgour
who I know nothing about except that he is a real wild looking close to the ground quick little
bulldozer.
I thought the Seniors started out in similar vein but
couldn't sustain any real effort. Great to see Alfy back on the park and he got called everything from garden gnome to mongrel
etc. etc. but I have absolutely no doubt that he has more guts than that whole band of ugly Centrals supporters who sat behind
us and some of the foul mouths that walked past us.
CLEAN UP YOUR FERAL IMAGE Centrals if you want to be a REAL force in the
SANFL. Yeah ! I know all about the media promoted Maggie image but I saw and heard plenty last night to declare a no contest.
Anyway back to the footy itself
- just for a while in the third it looked like a touch of the old Port was back but gee it was all too brief and we went on to be killed off. Some sections of the
media have suggested that Port were "overly
aggressive" - seems odd that Ebo got laid cold and Lehsey has a broken jaw and no there are no prizes for guessing who the gutless perpetrator of the Ebo K.O. was. WE SHALL REMEMBER THEM.
Best players are as hard to find as getting up the steam to go to Noarlunga next week but I
can't ignore Rhino's, Illett's,Tommy Carr's (errors and all),
Jule's and Ebo's efforts although none were real stand outs. If I
can't write better reports soon then I guess I will just have to fake it!!!
Bye for now Lynton
